06 · Travel & distribution

Cruise marketplace

Real-time aggregation of offers from the largest cruise lines — from the web storefront to the sales CRM. A complete platform, built from the ground up.

Sector
Travel / Cruise
Role
End-to-end design & development
Audience
Agencies & travelers
CONTEXT

The cruise market relies on massive catalogs, continuously refreshed by each line. The challenge: centralize the offers of MSC, Costa, Royal Caribbean and Croisière Europe in a single place, then make them bookable through a seamless experience — without ever sacrificing the freshness of availability or pricing accuracy.

ATHENIX designed and built the entire platform: consumer-facing websites, an admin back-office and a sales CRM. A single technical foundation that orchestrates multi-feed aggregation, data normalization and business steering, from the first click to conversion.

DELIVERABLES
  • Real-time API feed aggregation from 4 major lines (MSC, Costa, Royal Caribbean, Croisière Europe).
  • Normalization of heterogeneous catalogs (itineraries, cabins, prices, availability) into a unified data model.
  • High-performance, SEO-optimized Next.js websites: cruise search, comparison and booking.
  • Admin back-office: content, offers and pricing-rule management.
  • Integrated CRM: lead tracking, follow-ups and sales-funnel steering.

07 · HRIS & business software

Full HRIS — industrial group

From-scratch design and development of an HRIS covering 8 HR domains and payroll computation, deployed 100% on-premise within the client's infrastructure.

Sector
Industry / Multi-site group
Role
Dedicated team — design & development (4 people, ~6 months)
Audience
~500 employees · around thirty sites
CONTEXT

A large multi-site industrial group (~500 employees, around thirty sites) wanted to replace fragmented HR management — Excel files and an aging payroll ERP — with a unified, sovereign platform free of recurring licenses. Strong requirements: hosting 100% within the client's infrastructure, open-source stack, full ownership of the source code.

ATHENIX designed and built the entire platform: employee records, performance reviews, salary review, skills, loans and advances, regulatory imports — all the way to the payroll engine and its automatic reconciliation with the existing payroll ERP. Validated by replaying real historical payslips: detected discrepancies dropped from 25 to 8 between the two acceptance rounds, all below the 0.5% tolerance threshold.

DELIVERABLES
  • 12 business modules + 1 cross-functional module covering 8 HR domains, from employee records to payroll computation.
  • Payroll engine: 60+ configurable pay items, automatic reconciliation with the existing payroll ERP (0.5% tolerance, historical payslips replayed).
  • Full annual review cycle and salary review with a real-time budget simulator for managers.
  • Job-based skills mapping (required vs acquired) feeding the training plan.
  • Biometric time-clock integration via REST API: automatic overtime computation across 8 premium codes, degraded mode via CSV import.

  • SAML 2.0 SSO on the client's Active Directory and bidirectional payroll-variable exchanges with the existing ERP (controlled, versioned file format).
  • Business XLSX imports: automatic schema validation, SHA-256 deduplication. Systematic audit trail (actor, timestamp, before/after values) — GDPR compliance.
  • 505 automated tests (146 E2E + 359 backend). 100% on-premise deployment, open-source stack, source code delivered to the client's GitLab.

08 · HSE & business software

HSE application — corrective actions

HSE web application for event and corrective-action management — second project entrusted by the same client after the success of its HRIS.

Sector
Industry / Multi-site group
Role
Dedicated team — development & testing (2 people, ~2.5 months)
Audience
HSE teams & management
CONTEXT

Following the delivery of its HRIS, the same industrial group once again trusted ATHENIX to digitalize its HSE process: event reporting (incidents, near misses, observations), investigation, corrective action plans and closure tracking. The goal: replace scattered manual tracking with a single, traceable, indicator-driven tool.

The application was built with a core-first approach — a demonstrable version delivered every week and a weekly client checkpoint — followed by a two-week extended acceptance phase with users. A second project entrusted by the same client — the best proof of a partner-rather-than-vendor positioning.

DELIVERABLES
  • Full HSE event lifecycle: reporting, validation, investigation, corrective actions, closure.
  • Configurable form engine: the client creates and evolves its reporting forms without development.
  • Three-dimensional RBAC access control (role × organizational scope × event type).
  • SSO on the client's Active Directory (RS256-signed JWTs).
  • Synchronization with the previously delivered HRIS (employee and organization reference data).

  • HSE dashboards and indicators per management level.
  • Demonstrable delivery every week (core-first approach) and a two-week extended acceptance phase with users before go-live.
